Victoria Sharpe

Managing Director, Head of Asia

Victoria Sharpe, managing director, is chief executive officer of Pramerica Real Estate Investors (Asia). She is responsible for managing the operations and strategy for Pramerica's businesses in Asia. Pramerica Real Estate Investors is the real estate investment management and advisory business of Prudential Financial Inc. of the United States.

Before becoming chief executive officer of Pramerica (Asia), Sharpe was head of Pramerica's international businesses in Europe, Asia and Latin America. Sharpe began her career with Pramerica as the head of global strategy, business development and new product development. She is a member of the company's Executive and Management Committees and has more than 25 years of experience in the real estate industry.

Before joining Pramerica in February 2000, Sharpe was managing director of capital markets for Capri Capital, LP, in Chicago, a real estate investment company specializing in debt, pension advisory and mortgage banking. She was responsible for structuring and marketing new investment funds for institutional clients.

Earlier, she was a portfolio manager for Institutional Property Consultants in San Diego, Calif., where she evaluated and structured new investment programs for institutional advisory clients. Prior to joining Institutional Property Consultants, she became a senior portfolio manager for a $1 billion commingled fund and several separate accounts for LaSalle Advisors Ltd., in Chicago. She began her real estate career as a vice president and manager of private equity products for the private client groups of the Northern Trust Company, Chicago, Ill. She was later promoted to assistant to the vice chairman of the Northern Trust Corporation, responsible for domestic corporate strategies.

Sharpe has a B.S. in finance from the University of Illinois and a master's degree in management from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill.
